Ysabel & Brett | Safeco Field & Gas Works Park Engagement | Seattle, WA
There are 3 top reasons I love being a photographer. 1) Telling stories through images, 2) meeting awesome new people, and 3) exploring different places that I probably wouldn't discover on my own. Ysabel & Brett's engagement shoot was no exception! After a beautiful rugged Saturday down at a Deception Pass engagement session, I was looking forward to a totally contrasting urban look at downtown Seattle. Brett and Ysabel are big time Washington sports fans, and really wanted a session that showcased their city. Originally we had just planned to go to Gas Works Park, which is an amazing old 1906 gasification plant that has been converted a beautiful public park with stunning views of the city skyline over the water. But because the weather was just so bright, sunny and perfect, we decided to meet downtown first at Safeco Field first to take some photos down at the baseball stadium which sheltered us from the bright evening light.
I had a great time laughing with these two as we spent the evening walking the park. They have known each other since childhood, and will be tying the knot this fall in Anacortes, which is going to be a total blast. When you're marrying your best friend, life is always a happy adventure. Thanks for showing me your city guys! So looking forward to your big day!
