Taylor & Caleb | Fort Ebey Engagement Session | Whidbey Island Photographer

Taylor & Caleb's PNW engagement session was the first time I actually was able to meet this darling couple in person.  I had spoken to Taylor a few months ago on the phone as she was out of state, planning a wedding back in Arkansas while engaged to a handsome fella stationed here at NAS Whidbey Island.  Engagement photos were scheduled during her recent visit to the island, and I totally hit the jackpot with a couple who not only were so natural and photogenic in front of the camera, but who were also up for an adventure of exploring Fort Ebey in less than ideal weather.

After a string of bluebird days, as luck would have it, it was thunderstorms forecasted when she was visiting.  We bumped the first session due to rain, and went ahead with our backup date since her visit was our limiting factor...and guess what....more rain.  BUT, my camera body is weatherproof, and I actually love drizzly-day sessions.  The canopy of the tall trees sheltered us from most droplets, and the misty and dark clouds on the bluff and beach gave a dramatic effect.  The sun did have it's moments coming through the trees which was lovely, but dancing in the rain will always be a winner for me!

Sending warm wishes for an amazing wedding and life together.  I'm sure it will be a blast, and Taylor, I know you will be a stunning bride!
