Autumn in the PNW | Hodges Adventures | Family Photography
Ok ya'll, you're about to get a twin overload...but this is our first fall in the Pacific Northwest, and it's gorgeous. Like breathtakingly so. I've been really making a better effort at bringing my "big camera" out to take pictures of our adventures, rather than relying on the oh so convenient iphone. It's certainly not as accessible, but I'm so glad to have these pictures. I've actually started packing up my camera in the car with me regardless of where we go now because of all the times I thought to myself "dang, I wish I had the Nikon!"
Kris has been flying a bunch, which has been great - but has also left a bunch of time for mommy//daughter days. If you know me, you know that one of my favorite things to do is just hop in the car, take a back country road, and see where it leads us. Here, it seems every path leads to hidden gems. We've stumbled upon old farms, ghost towns, killer hot chocolate stands, apple orchards, and waterfalls...all by accident! All of the pictures below were random destinations...no "spot" on the map to get to, just "hey, that looks awesome, let's explore!" moments. Even the pumpkin patch pictures at the bottom were a fun surprise. (Originally we had read about a cool patch to check out in Mount Vernon, but we took one road too early and stumbled upon this one instead!)
All in all, we love it here. The girls love it here. Life is good. Happy fall y'all.
