Charles + Hallie | Misty PNW Sunrise Engagement

Everyone knows that the views here in the PNW are stunning when the vibrant sun sets over the horizon amongst the jagged rocks and cliffs….but there’s such a solemn beauty when the fog comes in a covers the cliffs in an eerie and magical shroud. Charles and Hallie opted for a sunrise session just over Deception Pass Bridge, and the cool mist made for such a haunting and dreamlike location. Loved the different vibe this session took on, and spending the morning with these two!

With a Whidbey Island Wedding at the Wayfarer approaching later this summer, Trenton and Sarah made Rosario Beach the destination for their engagement session this fall. Sea Siren | Sunset on the Beach | Whidbey Island Elopement Photographer

70 degree day, golden sunlight, whales spouting in the distance and warm sand under toes…(yes, I shot barefoot.) Days like this past Friday are the perfect representation of why I don’t just love being a photographer, but why I love being a photographer here on Whidbey Island. Marriage is one of the greatest adventures a couple can embark on together, so when an engaged duo opt for a location as dynamic, beautiful and exciting as Rosario Beach, the English major in me smiles at the inadvertent metaphor. Sarah & John | Winter at Rosario Beach | Anacortes Engagement Photographer

It may have felt like winter during this Anacortes engagement session, but you'd never know it from the photos!  The chilly wind gave so much movement and life to the still photographs, and once again Rosario's dynamic background was the perfect spot for photos together.

Claire & Carl | NAS Whidbey Island Military Wedding | Oak Harbor Photographer

Joining two lives together in marriage is always the start of an adventure, but when the military is involved, it's taken to a whole other level where flexibility, patience and a good sense of humor is always needed. I was originally scheduled to photograph Claire & Carl's off-island wedding late this October,

Kristen & Jason + One on the Way | Oak Harbor Maternity Photography | Fort Ebey, WA

I love autumn on Whidbey Island, the air is crisp, the leaves are turning warm hues, and there's such a sense of beauty when the seasons are right on the cusp of change.  I first met Kristen and Jason around this time last year for holiday photos,
